Why vote Labour?
From vision to plan. Here is why Labour and our candidate Mocky Khan will deliver for Didcot & Wantage.
Locally
Labour has a proven track record in Didcot & Wantage. If elected Labour will deliver for our area, with a key focus on: increased investment and reform to our healthcare system, improved social mobility through the education system, supporting practical solutions to the climate crisis, supporting local businessess and improved connectivity between towns and villages.
Mocky's pledge
I promise to be an MP who will reflect the hopes and values of all in the constituency, whether you voted for me as a Labour supporter, or lent me your vote to get the Tories out!

If I'm elected, I will:

• Send out surveys every three months, asking for your opinion on what the government is doing and what our next priorities should be.

• Hold a major public meeting every six months, at which people from all parties have the chance to speak.

Will voting Labour get rid of the Tories?
Despite the misinformation peddled by the Liberal Democrats, Labour are actually favourites to win Didcot & Wantage in the polls. A vote for the Lib Dems would only harm the chances of the Tories being kicked out.
Nationally
If elected, Labour has six first steps to get Britain's future back:

-
Deliver economic stability with tough spending rules, so we can grow our economy and keep taxes, inflation and mortgages as low as possible.
-
Cut NHS waiting times with 40,000 more evening and weekend appointments each week, paid for by cracking down on tax avoidance and non-doms.
-
Launch a new Border Security Command with hundreds of new specialist investigators and counter-terror powers to smash criminal gangs and strengthen our borders.
-
Set up Great British Energy, a publicly-owned clean power company, to cut bills for good and boost energy security, paid for by a windfall tax on oil and gas giants.
-
Crack down on antisocial behaviour, with more neighbourhood police paid for by ending wasteful contracts, tough new penalties for offenders, and a new network of youth hubs.
-
Recruit 6,500 new teachers in key subjects to set children up for life, work and the future, paid for by ending tax breaks for private schools
